Around Town
Restyled and Expanded
James T. Davis Design Center
James T. Davis isn’t just about paint swatches—you can check out fabric and wallpaper swatches, too! They’ve restyled and expanded their home design center to showcase more fabrics, upholstery, wall coverings, window treatments, furniture and home accessories. Now, homeowners can see life-sized vignettes of wall coverings and fabrics displayed together and enlist the expertise of interior designers to create a design game plan for their home.
Staff designer Sarah Girten says, “Most homeowners already have great ideas for their home, but a designer helps them pull all the pieces together to customize their style. It can be overwhelming to try to do that on your own.”
In addition to offering in-home consultations, when the planning phase gets serious, designers can create room renderings to help homeowners visualize exactly what their new room will look like.
Visit the store, email or “like” the James T. Davis Design Center page on Facebook to receive your personal invitation (and a 30 percent off Design Center coupon!) to the design center’s grand re-opening celebration. Everyone who attends the party will automatically be entered for chances to win a $250 James T. Davis gift card and a $1000 credit towards Hunter Douglas Duette® honeycomb shades.

Pharsalia is home to a working flower farm and their flowers can be bought on-site through the estate and at local farmers markets. Brides and bridesmaids have even been known to visit the flower farm before the wedding day to make their own bouquets and boutonnieres, fresh from the garden!
Throughout the year, Pharsalia hosts workshops on a variety of topics. This summer, check out:
